Awesome Effect Police LED Light Flasher Circuit


This post describes how to make a Police LED flasher using a 555 Timer IC and BC 547 NPN Transistor. This circuit is capable of operating at 9v DC Voltage. This flasher is made using Low Components.

Components Needed :

  • LM555 IC – 1
  • BC547 Transistor – 1
  • 22k Resistor – 1
  • 47uf Capacitor – 1
  • RED LED – 1
  • Blue LED – 1

Tools Needed :

  • Soldering Iron
  • Soldering Iron Stand
  • Components Holding Stand
  • Cutter

Police LED Light Flasher Making :

Connect pin 6 and pin 2 of the 555 Timer IC to the LED light flasher circuit. Then pin 8 should be connected to pin 4. Then the 22K resistor should be connected from pin 3 of 555 IC to the base of BC547. Then pin 6 and 2 of 555 should be connected to the base of BC 547. The + terminal of the 47Mfd capacitor must be connected to the BC 547 Base and the terminal to the Pin 1 of the 555 IC. Then connect the anode of the first LED from the emitter of the BC 547 transistor and the cathode of that LED to the anode of the second LED and the cathode of that LED to pin1 of the 555IC. Then connect 9V Battery (+) pin terminal 555 IC to pin 8 and ( -) terminal pin 1.
